ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY, Philippines – Residents across the Zamboanga Peninsula should brace for changing skies this week, with weather forecasters warning of scattered thunderstorms and passing showers through the weekend.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the region will experience a mix of sun and rain as warm and humid air interacts with localized thunderstorms.
On Wednesday, May 22, skies are expected to be partly sunny in the morning before afternoon thunderstorms develop. Temperatures may reach up to 28°C (82°F) and drop to around 22°C (71°F) by nightfall. Light southeast winds at 2 mph offer little relief from the humidity, while a high UV index means sun protection remains essential.
