Tungawan mayor urges students to build a ‘brighter future’ through education

TUNGAWAN, Zamboanga Sibugay – Mayor Angelito Aniñon on Monday, November 3, called on young people to pursue their dreams with purpose and determination, underscoring the local government’s commitment to guiding the youth toward a “brighter future.”

Aniñon made the statement during the Career Guidance Program of Western Mindanao State University – External Studies Unit (WMSU–ESU), held at San Pedro National High School in partnership with the local government of Tungawan.

The event gathered Grade 12 students, faculty, and staff of WMSU–ESU Tungawan, aiming to help students make informed choices about their college courses and career paths.

“It was a wonderful opportunity to share insights and inspire our young learners as they prepare to take the next step toward their future careers,” Aniñon said.

The mayor emphasized that nurturing the youth is central to Tungawan’s development agenda.

“Together, we continue to empower the youth—the hope and strength of our community,” he added.

The Career Guidance Program forms part of WMSU–ESU Tungawan’s continuing collaboration with the local government to strengthen education and youth development initiatives in the municipality.
