What the Facts Are

Audio-Video manipulation: The video is confirmed to be FAKE. The authentic video footage of the Minister was used, but the original audio was replaced (nilapatan ng ibang boses) with a different voice track promoting the product. This is a common tactic used in misinformation campaigns and deepfake-style scams.
Official Warning: The Office of the Health Minister warned the public the video is a scam.
Why this Matters
The unauthorized use of a high-ranking public official’s image, particularly a Health Minister, to promote unverified or specific health products is a serious form of deception and scamming.
It can mislead the public into buying products that may be ineffective, unregistered, or even harmful. And it damages the integrity and credibility of the official and the government agency they represent.
The public is urged to be discerning (mapagpanuri) and vigilant (mapagmatyag). Avoid sharing or acting on the claims made in the fake video, the advisory said.
Always verify health product endorsements with official sources like the Ministry of Health or the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
