The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Zamboanga Sibugay has partnered with the Kauswagan Integrated Farmers Services Association (KIFSA) to strengthen local agri-business by providing PhP500,000 to enhance the production and marketing of their beloved spicy vinegar, known locally as “Sinamak.”
For KIFSA farmers, this is more than just financial aid—it’s an opportunity to elevate their craft, improve their livelihoods, and bring their proudly made Sinamak to a wider market. The funding will be used to renovate their processing center, ensuring higher quality standards and better efficiency in production.

Beyond Land Distribution: DAR’s Commitment to Farmer Empowerment
DAR’s support doesn’t stop at land distribution. The agency is helping Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) thrive as entrepreneurs. Rolando Libetario Jr., Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II, emphasized the impact of this initiative.
“We want our ARBs to have the resources and support to maximize their productivity. Through partnerships like this, we help them improve their products, expand their market reach, and uplift their livelihoods,” Libetario said.
DAR: Investing in the Future of Local Farmers
The financial boost will help KIFSA increase production, enhance product packaging, and explore more market opportunities. Beyond infrastructure improvements, the project includes training programs, participation in trade fairs, and marketing assistance—key elements to making the business sustainable and competitive.
The local government of Mabuhay has also pledged its continued support, recognizing that the success of the project relies on the dedication and hard work of the farmers themselves.
This initiative aims to not only boost the local economy but also serve as a model for empowering farmers. It will further strengthen agricultural enterprises across the region, the DAR official said. By investing in people and their potential, DAR is ensuring that farming communities have a future that is both sustainable and prosperous.
