Tungawan mayor urges students to build a โ€˜brighter futureโ€™ through education

TUNGAWAN, Zamboanga Sibugay โ€“ Mayor Angelito Aniรฑon on Monday, November 3, called on young people to pursue their dreams with purpose and determination, underscoring the local governmentโ€™s commitment to guiding the youth toward a โ€œbrighter future.โ€


Aniรฑon made the statement during the Career Guidance Program of Western Mindanao State University โ€“ External Studies Unit (WMSUโ€“ESU), held at San Pedro National High School in partnership with the local government of Tungawan.

The event gathered Grade 12 students, faculty, and staff of WMSUโ€“ESU Tungawan, aiming to help students make informed choices about their college courses and career paths.

โ€œIt was a wonderful opportunity to share insights and inspire our young learners as they prepare to take the next step toward their future careers,โ€ Aniรฑon said.


The mayor emphasized that nurturing the youth is central to Tungawanโ€™s development agenda.

โ€œTogether, we continue to empower the youthโ€”the hope and strength of our community,โ€ he added.

The Career Guidance Program forms part of WMSUโ€“ESU Tungawanโ€™s continuing collaboration with the local government to strengthen education and youth development initiatives in the municipality.
