COTABATO CITY, October 19, 2025 โ Bangsamoro Health Minister Dr. Kadil โJojoโ M. Sinolinding, Jr. lauded the medical team and volunteers behind the โAll-In-One Surgical Missionโ in the Special Geographic Area (SGA), Montawal, and Pagalungan, saying their work โtransformed the lives of countless people of BARMM.โ
The mission, held from October 14 to 16, 2025 at Deseret Surgimed Hospital, Inc. in Kabacan, North Cotabato, provided free surgical and medical services to residents of hard-to-reach communities.
Minister Sinolinding: ‘Salute to the Team’
โIn behalf of the people of SGA, Pagalungan, and Montawal, Sukran Katheeran. Alhamdulillah for your kind and selfless generosity,โ Sinolinding said. โYour expertise indeed transformed the lives of countless people of Bangsamoro. Pagpalain Bangsamoro!โ
He acknowledged the added risk posed by potential natural disasters. โEven with the looming threat of an earthquake, we cannot stop. My salute to the team who bravely finished the Surgical Mission despite concerns for the safety of our patients and staff during ongoing surgical interventions.โ
The Health Minister added that faith played a crucial role in sustaining the mission.
โAs believers, our faith seemed stronger than the threat and the perceived adverse effect of an earthquake. We will continue doing our best and pray that such disasters never happen during these critical times.โ
‘All-In-One Surgical Mission’
The team included Dr. Siegfred Keene Macapas, Medical Director of Deseret Hospital Foundation Inc.; general surgeons Dr. Ismael Ammad and Dra. Amerah Oyod-Limjuco; anesthesiologist Dr. Marjohn Caro; obstetricians Dr. Simer Paul Mariano, Dra. Sittie Naymah Pandi-Lamping, and Dra. Nahara Batawi; ENT specialist Dr. Mohammad Jhalil Bantuas; and ophthalmologists Dr. Noel Alolod, Dr. Israel Reyes, and Dr. Hermie Segocio.
Supporting the surgical and medical teams were nurses Guiamalia A. Dimaren, RN, program OR nurses, and a dedicated group of minor and support staff, whose combined efforts ensured smooth operations throughout the three-day mission.
The โAll-In-One Surgical Missionโ stands as a testament to the resilience, expertise, and faith of Bangsamoroโs health workers, continuing to serve communities even under extraordinary circumstances.
